Build the standard for private-company valuation.

FairMarketValue is a small team of valuation professionals, data scientists, and engineers. Banks, accounting firms, and courts rely on what we sign, and every person here carries a real share of that work.

The FMV 10

The FMV 10 is the standard we hold ourselves to. These are the non-negotiable qualities we look for in every person who joins this team. This is our ethos, our code, and the daily price of admission. We built this team to push each other, to get better every day, and to be the best at what we do. If you see yourself in these words, we want to talk. If you don't, this isn't your team, and that's okay.

  1. 01

    The ambition of a builder

We don't iterate on what exists. We reimagine it. We build products and solutions so good they make the old way of doing things obsolete.

  2. 02

    The integrity of a fiduciary

Clients stake audits, transactions, and compliance on our numbers. We earn trust by being right and by being honest, not by telling people what they want to hear.

  3. 03

    The precision of a craftsman

Our work is unforgiving. A decimal point matters. Our team takes pride in getting the details right, not just getting it done.

  4. 04

    The curiosity of a pioneer

Pioneers live on the frontier, and pushing it forward is what they do. Hard problems, novel solutions, and the boldness to build something the market hasn't seen before, because no one else was willing to go this far or push this hard.

  5. 05

    The discipline of a champion

The extra hours, the deliberate practice, the sacrifices nobody sees. Champions outwork the competition every single day because they know the gap between good and great is what it takes to earn your place at the top.

  6. 06

    The resilience of a fighter

Whenever we get knocked down we get right back up. And we keep getting back up. We absorb setbacks, adapt, and overcome. We endure and we come back stronger than ever.

  7. 07

    The heart of a captain

Captains make everyone around them better. They read the moment instinctively, sacrifice individual glory for team wins, pull teammates up, and carry the mission above themselves.

  8. 08

    The conviction of a missionary

Missionaries hold unwavering faith in what they're building. Every day. Through the doubt, the critics, and the people who haven't caught on yet. Doing something contrarian is never popular until it's obvious. Our beliefs don't bend to conventional thinking.

  9. 09

    The urgency of a founder

Founders ship. Speed is the ultimate competitive advantage, and it matters today more than ever. No waiting for permission, no hiding behind process. See the problem, own it, move.

  10. 10

    The obsession of an owner

Owners eat, sleep, and breathe the pulse of the business. Every detail absorbed today compounds into judgment tomorrow, and that relentless compounding is what turns the impossible into the inevitable.

How we work

Analysts and engineers on the same problems

Valuation professionals shape what the platform does. Engineers sit in on real engagements. The best ideas come from that overlap.

Ownership from start to finish

Each person owns a piece of the product or the practice end to end, and answers for the result. Titles matter less than what you ship.

Work that is checked

Every figure we publish traces to its source, and every signed report is reviewed before it leaves the firm. We hold each other's work to the standard our clients expect.

Rewarded for results

Responsibility, compensation, and advancement grow with your results, and top performers are eligible for equity awards.

How we hire

Five steps, usually completed within three weeks.

  1. Application review

A member of the hiring team reads every application. You hear back from us within five business days.

  2. Introductory call

Thirty minutes with the hiring manager on the role, your experience, and what you want next.

  3. Work exercise

A short exercise drawn from real, anonymized work. It takes about two hours, and we discuss it with you.

  4. Team interviews

Conversations with the people you would work with most, including one of the founders.

  5. Offer

References, then a written offer with salary, benefits, and start date.
